Hand-knotted unique rugs from Tukmen, Uzbekian and Tajik tribes.
Made initially in the nineties in the Khyber Pass region by refugees from Afghanistan and from 2005 in the middle and the north of afghanistan. Hand spun wool with the best sheep wool from the high mountains. The rugs are very durable and are, in terms of quality, the best Afghan rugs available. 100% artisanal and ecological, vegetable dye recipes, authentic mastery and an age-old tradition.

Note:
These carpets are often singular variations that may appear, depending on your point of view, either as a default or as a quality, but is anyway a strange characteristic: the color of certain motifs or the background sometimes varies from one place to another, and it may even change completely. This change of color, called "abrash" occurs mainly in carpets of old manufacture. The presence of "abrash" proves that the carpet was spun and dyed by hand. Indeed, it is difficult when dyed by craftsmen, to find the same color in two successive dye baths.
